BTN Sustainable Finance Framework Receives ‘Excellent’ Assessment from Sustainable Fitch
BTN’s Sustainable Finance Framework (SFF) has been assessed by Sustainable Fitch and received an ‘Excellent’ through its Second-Party Opinion (SPO). This recognition highlights BTN’s strong alignment with international sustainable finance principles and reinforces its commitment to responsible banking. The Sustainable Finance Framework provides a structured approach for allocating funds to eligible green and social projects, ensuring that financing activities align with sustainability principles and support Indonesia’s long-term economic and environmental goals. The framework defines the criteria for selecting and financing projects that create measurable environmental and social benefits.
The framework aligns with international best practices, including the Green Bond Principles (GBP), Social Bond Principles (SBP), and Sustainability Bond Guidelines (SBG) issued by the International Capital Market Association (ICMA). It has also been assessed as aligned with the Green Loan Principles and Social Loan Principles, issued by the Loan Market Association (LMA), Asia Pacific Loan Market Association (APLMA), and Loan Syndications & Trading Association (LSTA).
BTN commits to ensuring that eligible projects financed under this framework generate clear and measurable environmental and social benefits.
