Types of QRIS Payments

Types of Payments Description
Static Merchant Present Mode (MPM) Static QRIS MPM is a QRIS code installed at the merchant as a sticker or printed QRIS code.
The specifications for Static QRIS MPM are as follows:
  • Can be used for various transactions at the merchant (can be used multiple times)
  • Customer inputs the amount during QRIS payment
Dynamic Merchant Present Mode (MPM) Dynamic QRIS MPM is a QRIS code issued through POS/EDC at the merchant in the form of a printout or QRIS code displayed on the merchant's POS.
The specifications for Dynamic QRIS MPM are as follows:
  • QRIS code is generated per transaction
  • QRIS code can only be used once for each transaction
  • Merchant/Cashier inputs the amount during QRIS payment

  • Merchants must periodically check the appearance of the QRIS image to avoid attaching fake QRIS images.

  • Merchants must ensure the accuracy of their accounts and other data provided to the Bank.

  • Merchants are required to use the BTN Merchant application.

  • Merchants must report to the Bank for any suspicious transaction.

  • Merchants must check and test the smoothness of transactions using QRIS received from the Bank.

  • Merchants must ensure receipt of transaction success confirmation before delivering goods/services.

  • Merchants must maintain the confidentiality of user or customer data involved in transactions.
